Dynamic practices of education: the extension project “Cineclub and Education” – a primordial mechanism of professional formation at the university

Resumo: This article presents the results of the experiences of extension connected to the extension project “Cineclub and Education”, which united cinema and education at the university. Its main goals were the concept ion of a film society as a helpful atmosphere to the comprehension of the cinematographic language and the use of films as a regular didactic resource in a Higher Education Institution. We showed the films to an external audience and discussed their forms and contents, associating the debate with the contents that were worked in the classroom. At the same time, the debates were extended to some other act ions coordinated to the project, such as study groups and events. As results, we inaugurated and developed new forms of appropriation of the curriculum contents, showing to the audience that the use of different materials can be an important part of the didactics in educational institutions. We overcame, within our limits, barriers of cultural inequalities and recreated updated and effective devices of education for the audiovisual resources, without separating types of knowledge, habits, ideas, understandings, criticisms, subjects, etc. into more or less legitimate.

O principal objetivo dessa iniciativa foi a criação de um cineclube, para servir como ambiente favorável à compreensão da linguagem cinematográfica, e a utilização de filmes, como recurso didático permanente dentro da instituição de ensino superior. O projeto exibia filmes e propunha discussões sobre formas e conteúdos do material projetado, vinculando esse debate aos temas que eram trabalhados em sala de aula, para um público externo. Paralelamente, as conversas estendiam-se a outras ações coordenadas ao projeto, tais como grupos de estudos, eventos etc. Como resultados, foram inauguradas e desenvolvidas novas formas de apropriação dos conteúdos curriculares, mostrando ao público que o uso de diferentes materiais pode ser parte importante da didática nas instituições escolares.
