Dimension of research in the teacher’s activities: process that form, informs and transforms the higher education professional

Resumo: This article presents the understanding of twenty-six (26) bachelors at work in university teaching regarding the relationship between teaching and research in the pedagogical practice, from theoretical considerations that recognize the investigative activity as one of the pillars of support and development of the teaching profession. The methodological procedures considered the Discursive Textual Analysis (DTA) associated to ATLAS.ti software for data production and analysis obtained from a structured base from responses to a questionnaire collectively created by a group of doctoral students and applied to higher education teachers. It is concluded that teachers who conceive research in its dialectic articulation with teaching are those who are exclusively dedicated to teaching and thus invest in academic career in a timely manner.

Os procedimentos metodológicos contemplaram a Análise Textual Discursiva aliada ao software ATLAS.ti para a produção e análise dos dados que foram obtidos de uma base estruturada a partir das respostas a um questionário elaborado, coletivamente, por um grupo de doutorandos e aplicado aos professores de ensino superior.
