Resumo: The aim of this paper is to present the interdisciplinary work that integrated the following disciplines: “Public Policy, Social Management and Local Development” and “Information and Communication Technology Use (ICT)”. All of those are available in the Graduate Program in Social Management, Education and Local Development by Centro Universitário (University Center) UNA/MG. From this experience we intend to discuss the importance of interdisciplinarity, understood as mandatory for the construction of an expanded approach, as opposed to a fragmented conception of knowledge. First, we present the origins of discussions about interdisciplinarity and then, a report on the experience. The intention is to present interdisciplinarity as a possibility of interaction among different areas, leading to mutual reflection and the expansion of knowledge production.
