Resumo: The group work brings benefits as a strategy for the nursing action. This study aimed to analyze the group concept and to analyze as the nursing is developing work with groups. It is a bibliographical revision to guide the development of a research project about how the group can contribute to the nursing care given to women in the puerperal period who are accompanying their hospitalized children. Considering that the nursing has already been using the group with methodological resource, it is necessary that this continues being investigatted so that it can contribute in a more concrete way to the nursing practice.

El estudio tuvo como objetivos analizarse el concepto de grupo y analizar como la enfermería viene desarrollo es el trabajo con los grupos. Se trata de un repaso bibliografíca para orientar el desarrollo de un proyecto de investigación sobre como el grupo puede contribuir en el cuidado de enfermería realizado a las parturientas que estan acompañando el hijo hospitalizado. Considerando que la enfermería ya viene utilizando el grupo como recurso metodológico, es necesario que este continúe a ser investigado para que pueda contribuir de manera más concreta para la prática.O trabalho em grupo traz benefícios enquanto estratégia para atuação da enfermagem. O estudo teve como objetivos analisar o conceito de grupo e analisar como a enfermagem vem desenvolvendo o trabalho com grupos. Trata-se de uma revisão bibliográfica para orientar o desenvolvimento de um projeto de pesquisa sobre como o grupo pode contribuir no cuidado de enfermagem realizado às puérperas que estão acompanhando o filho hospitalizado.
