Third party influence in practice of breast-feeding

Resumo: This work aimed to identify the agents that influence the pratice of breast-feeding, as well as the content of the transmitted messages to breast-feeding mothers. Twenty two womem that were breast-feeding for the first time, and that had children aged between one and twelve months were interviewed. We utilized the technique of thematic analysis to analyse data, based on the content analysis of Bardin9. Results showed that the husband and the breast-feeding mother's mother had distinction, preseting the first as an stimulating agent and the mother as a reference model. Health practioner appears as na an element of incentive, detaining in issues of breast-feeding as a biologic process. Media has an important role, its approach was turned to the advantages of maternal milk to the child.

Fueron entrevistados 22 mujeres que estaban amamantando por primera vez y que tenían hijos com edades entre uno y doce meses. Para el análisis de los datos hemos utilizado la técnica de análisis temático, basado en el análisis de contenido de Bardin9. Los resultados evidenciaron que el marido y la mamá nutriz tuvieran realce, apareciendo el primero como agente estimulante y la madre como modelo de referencia. El profesional de salud surge como elemento de estímulo, deteniéndose en las cuestiones del amamantamiento materno como proceso biológico. Los medios de comunicación tuvieron importante papel, teniendo en cuenta principalmetne su tema dirigido para las ventajas de la leche materna para la niñez.Este estudo objetivou identificar os agentes que influenciam a prática do aleitamento materno, assim como o conteúdo das mensagens transmitidas às nutrizes. Foram entrevistadas 22 mulheres que estavam amamentando pela primeira vez e tinham filhos com idades entre um e doze meses. Para análise dos dados utilizamos a técnica de análise temática, baseada na análise de conteúdo de Bardin9. Os resultados evidenciaram que o marido e a mãe da nutriz tiveram destaque, aparecendo o primeiro como agente estimulador e a mãe como modelo de referência. O profissional de saúde surge como elemento de incentivo, se detendo nas questões do aleitamento materno como processo biológico.
