Contributions of the minas gerais nursing magazin to the disclosure of scientific knowledge

Resumo: This study aims to evaluate the scientific production of the Minas Gerais Nursing Magazine (REME) between 1997 and 2009, focusing on the importance of the Journal to the improvement of nursing research. We used REME's database and program Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS® ) version 13.0 to compile data. At the time of data collection there were 971 manuscripts and, after discarding those with incomplete data, the sample consisted of 887 articles. The categories considered for analysis were: year of article submission, type of research, origin and outcome. REME has been receiving an increasing number of articles, especially research ones (65.2%), most of which are about general nursing care (linked to aspects of the profession) and medical-surgical nursing. Regarding the type of research and the outcome, we observed that the highest approval rates were for original researches (72.6%). We received studies from the Southeast of Brazil (72.5%), from the South (13.2) and from the Northeast (9.5%), among others less numerous. The data show that although some regions submit a higher number of articles, the final number of studies approved for each region is similar. We conclude that there are no quality discrepancies among the studies in each knowledge area. The results also show the involvement of nurses from different Brazilian states

Fue enfocada la importancia de dicha revista para el desarrollo de la investigación en enfermería utilizando la base de datos de la propia REME producida en el programa EXCEL y, para la recopilación, el programa SPSS ® (Paquete Estadístico para las Ciencias Sociales) versión 13.0. En el momento de la recogida de datos había 971 artículos; al eliminar aquéllos con datos incompletos, la muestra finalmente tenía 887 artículos. Se consideraron como categorías de análisis los años de presentación del artículo, tipo de investigación, origen y evolución. La REME ha recibido un número creciente de artículos con predominio de artículos de investigación (65,2%) que, en su mayoría, tratan del aspecto asistencial y de las áreas de enfermería general (aspectos de la profesión) y de enfermería médico-quirúrgica. Al vincular la presentación del tipo de investigación y el resultado encontrado, el mayor porcentaje de aprobación fue para la investigación original (72,6%). Se recibieron estudios de la región sureste (72,5%), del sur (13,2) y del noreste (9,5%), entre otros, en menor cantidad. Estos datos indican que, aunque haya más presentaciones de artículos en algunas zonas, la cantidad de artículos aprobados por área es parecida. Se puede deducir que no hay discrepancia en la calidad de los trabajos por área de conocimiento. Además, dichos estudios muestran la participación de enfermeros de otros estados del paísCom o objetivo de analisar o perfil da produção científica da Revista Mineira de Enfermagem (REME) no período de 1997 a 2009, com enfoque na importância desse periódico para o desenvolvimento da pesquisa em enfermagem, utilizou-se, nesta pesquisa, o banco de dados da própria REME, produzido no programa EXCEL, e para a compilação, o programa Statistical Package the Social Sciences (SPSS® ) versão 13.0. À época da coleta constavam 971 manuscritos no banco de dados. Retirando-se aqueles com dados incompletos, a amostra constou de 887 manuscritos. O tipo de pesquisa, a procedência e o desfecho dela foram considerados como categorias para a análise do ano de submissão do artigo. A REME tem recebido um volume crescente de artigos com predomínio dos referentes a pesquisa (65,2%), em sua maioria tratando de aspecto assistencial e nas áreas enfermagem geral (aspectos da profissão) e enfermagem médico-cirúrgica. Ao relacionar-se a submissão do tipo de pesquisa e o desfecho encontrado, o maior percentual de aprovação foi para pesquisa original (72,6%). A REME recebe estudos das regiões Sudeste (72,5%), Sul (13,2) e Nordeste (9,5%), dentre outros com quantitativo menor.
