Resumo: The objective of this study was to analyze social and gender representations of health workers in a reproductive health service with regard to masculine and feminine identity. A workshop was chosen to collect data and the theme was "The construction of masculine and feminine identity". The data showed that the role of caregiver is central in feminine identity, while rationality is the structuring element in masculine identity.

Los datos se recolectaron con el taller de trabajo "La construcción de la identidad masculina y femenina". Los resultados indican que el rol de cuidadora es central en la identidad femenina y que la racionalidad es el elemento estructural de la identidad masculina.O objetivo deste estudo foi analisar as representações sociais e gênero que profissionais de um serviço de saúde reprodutiva têm sobre a identidade masculina e feminina. Optou-se pela oficina de trabalho para a coleta de dados, cujo tema foi "A construção da identidade masculina e feminina".
