Resumo: This article aims at studying the process of creation and application of technologies developed by the Department of Civil Engineering at the Federal University of Pernambuco. In this study nineteen professors were interviewed in order to find out whether their respective research has any applicability in public agencies. The results revealed that the technologies provide benefits to the users of public facilities of the region.
