Resumo: The process of knowledge and information sharing is essential for the construction of new knowledge even though it may be affected by several factors. This article presents the results from a research on the sharing of knowledge and information as well as of experience in the context of research & development (R&D). The data were collected through interviews and analyzed by means of the context analysis approach. Among the results obtained are the main factors which may interfere in the process of sharing information such as motivation, barriers and obligations as well as the most common ways and means to share information and knowledge.

Este artigo apresenta os resultados de uma pesquisa sobre o compartilhamento da informação, do conhecimento e da experiência no ambiente de pesquisa e desenvolvimento (P&D). Os dados coletados, por meio de entrevistas, foram analisados a partir da técnica análise de conteúdo.
