Resumo: | Playing a musical instrument demands integration of perceptive, motor and cognitive skills, modularly and gradually developed and in a hierarchically coordinated fashion.The present study analyzes audiological profiles of music students, who were submitted to Audiological Assessment (Interview, Threshold Tonal Audiometry, Logoaudiometry and Imitanciometry), besides the complementary examinations of High Frequencies Tonal Audiometry and Transient Evoked Otoacustic Emissions. The results indicated normal hearing for the students. Nevertheless, preventive and educative actions are essential to promote awareness of auditory alterations within this risk group. |

El presente estudio analiza el perfil audiológico de los estudiantes de música de grado que se sometieron a una evaluación audiológica (entrevista, audiometría tonal liminar, logoaudiometría e imitanciometría), además de los exámenes complementarios de Audiometría Tonal de Altas Frecuencias (AT-AF) y Otoemisiones Acústicas Evocadas por Estímulos Transitorios por estímulo transitorio (TOAE). Los resultados indicaron que los estudiantes tienen una audición normal. Sin embargo, las acciones educativas y preventivas son esenciales para promover el conocimiento de las alteraciones auditivas en este grupo de riesgo.Tocar um instrumento musical requer a integração das habilidades perceptiva, motora, e cognitiva, desenvolvidas modularmente, de forma gradativa e hierarquicamente coordenada. O presente estudo analisa o perfil audiológico de estudantes de graduação em Música, que foram submetidos à Avaliação Audiológica (Entrevista, Audiometria Tonal Liminar, Logoaudiometria, e Imitanciometria), além dos exames complementares de Audiometria Tonal de Altas Frequências (AT-AF) e Emissões Otoacústicas Evocadas por Estímulo Transiente (EOAT). Os resultados indicaram que os estudantes apresentam audição dentro da normalidade.
