Apresenta-se atualmente como questão de saúde pública em virtude da alta prevalência. A intervenção precoce especializada e intensiva é determinante para um bom prognóstico. Daí a importância de que os médicos realizem triagem de indicadores do Transtorno do Espectro Autista para encaminhamento à estimulação e acesso aos direitos. A nota técnica do MEC (2013) orienta os sistemas de ensino sobre o TEA para uma formação em saúde que contemple conhecimentos acerca da deficiência, e as Diretrizes Curriculares Nacionais do Curso de Graduação em Medicina também alinham-se a essa orientação. Tendo em vista este cenário, objetivou-se documentar e compreender a presença de conteúdos sobre TEA nos currículos de graduação médica em Minas Gerais. Foram analisados Projetos Pedagógicos, matrizes curriculares e ementários de 29 cursos mineiros. Os conteúdos teórico-metodológicos foram organizados entre psicopatologia/psiquiatria e saúde da criança/pediatria. A análise documental indica a ausência de especificação de tais conteúdos nos currículos de medicina, ou seja, a ênfase para esta questão de saúde pública ainda requer esforços para mudar a educação médica.Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder whose etiology does not present well-defined factors, with evidence of genetic predisposition, but with clinical diagnosis. It is currently a public health issue due to its high prevalence. Specialized and intensive early intervention is crucial for a good prognosis. Hence the importance for doctors to screen indicators of Autistic Spectrum Disorder for referral to stimulation and access to rights. The technical note from MEC (2013) guides the teaching systems on TEA for health training that includes knowledge about disability, and the National Curricular Guidelines for the Undergraduate Medical Course are also in line with this orientation. In view of this scenario, the objective was to document and understand the presence of content on ASD in medical undergraduate curricula in Minas Gerais. Pedagogical Projects, curricular matrices and curriculums of 29 courses from Minas Gerais were analyzed. The theoreticalmethodological content was organized between psychopathology / psychiatry and child health / pediatrics.
