Na Região Metropolitana de Belo Horizonte (RMBH), podemos encontrar iniciativas marcadas pelo protagonismo das juventudes e que apontam para a agroecologia enquanto ferramenta transformadora, pedagógica e mobilizadora. Neste cenário, o presente trabalho investiga essas experiências e suas implicações territoriais, sociais e educacionais, a fim de discutir em que medida suas ações promovem a produção e transformação do espaço, trocas sociais e a construção e intercâmbio de conhecimentos. A metodologia utilizada foi a pesquisa de natureza empírica, com coleta de dados em campo e via questionário, os quais foram examinados a partir de uma abordagem qualitativa apoiada em revisão de literatura. O recorte geográfico da pesquisa limita-se à RMBH. O trabalho é apresentado em três etapas principais: levantamento teórico (Capítulo I), mapeamento/caracterização de experiências (Capítulo II) e reflexões-diálogos a partir das experiências abordadas (Capítulo III). Conclui-se que o fortalecimento das juventudes no movimento agroecológico é fundamental para a promoção de mudanças significativas em direção a um futuro mais sustentável e equitativo, onde as práticas agrícolas e alimentares sejam guiadas por valores de respeito à natureza, justiça social e participação ativa da juventude. Além disso, identificaram-se desafios relevantes, tais como a necessidade de fortalecer políticas públicas específicas, incentivar a mobilização e o preparo de mais jovens para as iniciativas agroecológicas e promover a integração e articulação entre movimentos e experiências agroecológicas urbanas e rurais. Por fim, ressalta-se a importância de promover o debate público sobre o tema, com o intuito de fortalecer e dar visibilidade ao movimento agroecológico das juventudes, alavancando práticas sustentáveis e justas para o desenvolvimento de modos de vida contra-hegemônicos, equitativos e ambientalmente responsáveis.In recent years, youth have expanded their political participation in the national agroecological movement, resulting in the formation of groups and collectives seeking pathways towards more just and sustainable territories. In the Metropolitan Region of Belo Horizonte (RMBH), we can find initiatives marked by youth protagonism that point to agroecology as a transformative, pedagogical, and mobilizing tool. In this context, the present study investigates these experiences and their territorial, social, and educational implications, aiming to discuss to what extent their actions promote the production and transformation of space, social exchanges, and the construction and exchange of knowledge. The methodology used was empirical research, with data collection in the field and through questionnaires, analyzed through a qualitative approach supported by literature review. The geographical scope of the study is limited to RMBH. The work is presented in three main stages: theoretical survey (Chapter I), mapping/characterization of experiences (Chapter II), and reflections-dialogues based on the addressed experiences (Chapter III). It is concluded that strengthening youth in the agroecological movement is essential to promote significant changes towards a more sustainable and equitable future, where agricultural and food practices are guided by values of respect for nature, social justice, and active youth participation. Furthermore, relevant challenges were identified, such as the need to strengthen specific public policies, encourage mobilization and preparation of more young people for agroecological initiatives, and promote integration and articulation between urban and rural agroecological movements and experiences.
