Nanopartículas de óxido de zinco (NPs ZnO) são promissoras como método alternativo por possuírem propriedades antifúngicas e antioxidantes. O estudo avaliou a ação de NPs ZnO, nas concentrações 0, 1, 3 e 5 mg mL-¹ , sobre o crescimento de Aspergillus parasiticus e produção de aflatoxinas (AFs). A taxa de crescimento foi avaliada através da medição diária dos diâmetros das colônias. A detecção de AFs se deu por cromatografia líquida de alta eficiência. Aspergillus parasiticus sofreu redução significativa do crescimento nas três concentrações. Já a produção de AFG2, AFB2 e AFB1 apresentou redução significativa.
