Impact of glyphosate on human health: risks and "needs" of its use

Resumo: This article analyzes the use of pesticides in Brazilian agricultural production, its impacts and the risks of glyphosate, specifically, to human health. Contamination has been a constant concern in public health, requiring varying levels of government investment and organization in the implementation of waste control programs and actions, which can eliminate or minimize the risks to the health of the Brazilian population regarding the presence of these wastes in water and in food. In addition, there are associated environmental and social impacts, as the use of pesticides and the strategies for their use are associated with industrial agriculture based on monocultures as an economic model and supported by multinational companies.
