Resumo: The great industrialization process has been bringing consequences, such as the various social problems, as well as ecological questions that are related to the extinguishing of natural resources. In this sense, it’s important to think of ways to decrease the social and ecological impacts arising from these practices in the future. From that point, the concept of sustainability arises, as a possibility to connect the economy, social welfare and the environment. Therefore, this work sought to establish a dialogue, in the light of authors such as Pádua (2005, Gonçalves (2018) and Grzybowski (2011), among others, who approach the phenomena of reality through the eyes of Geographic Science and from reflections and definitions of paramount importance for today. Among these reflections, there is the study of socio-spatial territories in the political andsocial contexts that arise from the relationship between man and nature. Also presented here are the concepts of the “New Ecological Realism” “Global Iniquity”, “Floating Approach ”, “bio civilization”etc. Thus, it was possible to conclude that Brazil will need natural resources, present in the diversity of its territory, to combat its social debt. harm the environment, it will also be necessary to create mechanisms that overcome the superficiality mentioned in the floating approach, giving priority to preserving the environment.
