A discretização espacial do problema é realizada segundo a formulação paramétrica do Método dos Elementos Finitos e a discretização temporal é realizada por uma expansão em Diferenças Finitas. O escopo se restringe a situações onde a variação da temperatura ocorre durante um regime quasi-estático. Nesse tipo de regime, tanto a variação da temperatura como a variação das ações mecânicas ocorrem de forma lenta e gradual, permitindo que o calor gerado durante o processo de deformação possa ser desprezado, bem como o calor gerado por fenômenos dissipativos. Ao remover esses termos, obtém-se um conjunto de equações diferenciais desacopladas que viabiliza a solução do problema térmico de forma independente do problema mecânico. Todavia, para a solução do problema mecânico é necessário conhecer previamente a solução térmica, uma vez que a variação da temperatura contribui para a deformação do corpo analisado. Para gerir o processo de solução, uma nova entidade denominada SimulationManager foi introduzida no projeto orientado a objetos do núcleo numérico do programa. As novas classes, bem como todas as demais modificações realizadas, foram validadas a partir da análise de problemas cuja solução analítica é conhecida.This master’s thesis refers to the implementations of tools in the free computational environment INSANE (INteractive Structural ANalysis Environment), written accordingly with the object-oriented programming paradigm, for the solution of physically non-linear thermomechanical problems in the time-dependent regime. The spatial discretization follows the parametric formulation of the Finite Element Method (FEM), and the temporal discretization follows an expansion in Finite Differences (FD). The scope is limited to situations where the temperature variation occur in a quasi-static regime. In this regime, both the temperature variation and the mechanical actions change slowly, allowing neglect the heat produced during the deformation process, as well as the heat produced by dissipative phenomena. Removing these terms we obtain a set of decoupled partial differential equations, enabling the solution of the thermal problem independently of the mechanical problem. However, to solve the mechanical problem, the thermal solution should be known in advance, since the temperature variation contributes to the strain field in the body. To manage the solution process, we introduced a new entity in the object-oriented design of the software’s numerical core, named SimulationManager.
