Resumo: Even before the negative economic impacts resulting from the spread of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Brazilian economy was already experiencing difficulties in the economic recovery process, with low growth and difficulties in reheating the economy. job market. At the end of 2019, the unemployment rate was 11.9%. With the arrival of the pandemic and the direct and indirect impacts that accompanied it (drop in demand, stoppage of production activities, reduction in investments, drop in world trade and reduced exports, instability in financial markets), gross domestic product (GDP) shrank by 4.1% and unemployment increased to 13.5% in 2020. An important issue to analyze and, in general, , little highlighted is that the drop in employment affects individuals or families in a heterogeneous way, given the inequality that marks the Brazilian labor market, the insertion of individuals in this market, the sectoral income profile and its distribution. With the pandemic of Covid-19, it has become essential to evaluate how these effects occur in order to establish coping actions by public authorities

With the pandemic of Covid-19, it has become essential to evaluate how these effects occur in order to establish coping actions by public authoritiesMesmo antes dos impactos econômicos negativos decorrentes do espraiamento da pandemia de Covid-19, a economia brasileira já apresentava dificuldades no processo de recuperação econômica, com baixo crescimento e dificuldades de reaquecer o mercado de trabalho.
