This paper presents the role of the nurse, health visitor and manager actions, a UBS-Basic Health Unit, based on the organization of work of UBS's within the new service model proposed by public health policies implemented by the System Unified Health through the Family Health Program today the Family Health Strategy. To perform the same search was performed integrative literature review followed the methodological steps: problem formulation, data collection, data evaluation, analysis and interpretation of data, presentation of results through which we sought to answer the question motivating this work How nurses can associate its welfare function to the management of stock in a Basic Health Unit? In accordance with the articles used in the review of this study it is clear that the nurse's role in the PCU is fundamental to the quality of care provided to the community, builds caring functions inherent in this, and for which management needs to better prepare. It was demonstrated that the accumulation of these functions directly reflect the quality of care.
