The oral health promotion should include variables such as the socioeconomic paradigm extraodontológicas to meet especially the economically disadvantaged populations. Complying with all social strata embraced by the need to define the role of dentistry in oral health promotion. A pulpotomy is scientifically proven as an effective method and has viability in massive employment and is therefore important to further appreciate its use in public health. The need to seek lower costs in actions justifies the applicability of pulpotomy as proper technique to help reduce rates of tooth extraction in the municipality of Wonders. The aim of this study was to report the action plan to assess the pulpotomy procedures performed in the city. This research has its theoretical basis in articles found in databases Virtual Health Library (VHL), scientific sites (SciELO, LILACS), institutional sites (Ministry of Health), Google Scholar, as well as books, newsletters, monographs and theses . The interest in the area was due to the fact that one can not ignore the socioeconomic issues that permeate the need for actions that can effectively meet the oral health needs. Currently there are in the county efforts to organize and improve the population's access to dental care expanding the service offering by deploying more of Oral Health Teams. The action plan was prepared following the method of Strategic Planning situational studied the module on Planning and Evaluation of Health Actions in the Specialization Course in Primary Care Family Health. The Oral Health Team decided to prioritize what are the procedures used in school of municipal school, identified during the course of the Situational Diagnosis of the area covered by the Family Health Team of Wonders. It was concluded that oral health actions should be based on the principles of universality, comprehensiveness and equity, and it is necessary to consider pulpotomy as a valuable contribution to conservative treatment and as an element within a socio-economic system, political and even increased investment in human resources, physical infrastructure and continuing education for Oral Health Team.
