Em razão disso, o objetivo deste trabalho foi compreender as práticas cotidianas de negócio dos catireiros da região do Triângulo Mineiro e Alto Paranaíba. Por meio de uma pesquisa qualitativa, de caráter exploratório, foram entrevistados 31 catireiros dessa região, sendo os dados coletados analisados mediante Análise Crítica do Discurso. Constatou--se que as práticas são diversas entre os catireiros da região e que precisam ser acuradas constantemente, pois a catira exige que se tenha um aprendizado contínuo sobre as mesmas. Além disso, as estratégias na catira estão relacionadas com o conhecimento sobre o mercado rural em que estão inseridos os catireiros. Já as táticas são aquelas operações circunstanciais que dependem da astúcia do praticante em perceber as oportunidades para se catirar e tirar vantagem nas negociações.The everyday practices of small traders and ordinary managers are often overlooked by Management in the construction of a body of management knowledge. For this reason, the objective of this work was to understand the everyday business practice of the catirei-ros of the Triângulo Mineiro and Alto Paranaíba region. Through a qualitative research, of exploratory character, we interviewed 31 catireiros of this region, and the data collected were analyzed through the Critical Discourse Analysis. We verified that the practices are diverse among the catireiros of the region and that they need to be constantly improved, because the catira requires that one has a continuous learning about the same. In addition, the strategies in the catira are related to the knowledge about the rural market in which catireiros are inserted.
