O presente artigo apresenta o resultado do estudo transversal da APA do município de Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, cuja metodologia consistiu em aplicar instrumentos semiestruturados com usuários, profissionais de saúde e gerentes das Unidades Básicas de Saúde (UBS) dos nove distritos sanitários de Belo Horizonte. Os principais resultados da pesquisa demonstram que a maioria dos usuários, profissionais de saúde, gestores e gerentes não conhecem ou não desenvolvem ações de saúde ambiental na área de abrangência onde residem e/ou trabalham. Verificou-se, portanto, que a temática ambiental precisa ser abordada com mais intensidade para os gestores e profissionais da Saúde, bem como para usuários, por meio da educação permanente. Para fortalecimento desse ideal, é fundamental a criação de instrumentos para atuação de determinadas categorias das Equipes de Saúde da Família, como o Agente de Combate a Endemias (ACE) que poderia acompanhar áreas de risco ambiental em seu território de atuação, acrescentando e apoiando a sistematização do escopo das ações da Vigilância em Saúde Ambiental (VSA), dessa forma, contribuiria para a construção de uma política municipal de saúde ambiental com diretrizes a serem continuadas pelos profissionais da Vigilância em Saúde Ambiental, articuladas com as ações da APS, e em conformidade com o conceito de APA pela Organização Pan-Americana de Saúde.Primary Environmental Attention (PEA) consists of preventive and participatory environmental strategies. However, for it to be effective, it is important that its actions are carried out together with Primary Health Care (PHC), along with professionals and managers health and community. This article is a cross-sectional study of the PEA in Belo Horizonte/MG, which methodology consisted of applying semi-structured instruments for users, health professionals and managers of the Basic Health Units (BHU) of the nine health districts of Belo Horizonte. The main results of this research show that most users, health professionals and managers do not know or do not develop environmental health actions in the coverage area where they live or work. Also was found that environmental issues still need to be more addressed for managers and health professionals, in addition to users, through permanent education. To strengthen this ideal, it is essential to create instruments for the performance of certain categories of the Family Health Teams, such as Endemic Combat Agents (ECA), which could monitor areas of environmental risk in their territory of operation, adding and supporting in the systematization of the scope of Environmental Health Surveillance (EHS) actions. Thus, this ideal would contribute to the construction of a municipal environmental health policy with guidelines to be continued by environmental health surveillance professionals, articulated with PHC actions, and in accordance with the concept of PEA by the Pan American Health Organization.porUniversidade Federal de Minas GeraisUFMGBrasilMED - DEPARTAMENTO DE CLÍNICA MÉDICAMEDICINA - FACULDADE DE MEDICINAHygeia - Revista Brasileira de Geografia Médica e da SaúdeSustentabilidadeBacias HidrográficasDesenvolvimento urbano sustentávelAtenção Primária AmbientalAções AmbientaisBacia HidrográficaPolítica de saúde ambiental na Atenção Primária em Belo Horizonte sob a ótica do desenvolvimento urbano sustentávelEnvironmental health policy in Primary Care in Belo Horizonte under the optics of sustainable urban developmentinfo:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersioninfo:eu-repo/semantics/articlehttps://seer.ufu.br/index.php/hygeia/article/view/61331Daniela de Almeida Ochoa CruzDaniela Santos Serpa SiqueiraPaula Campos PereiraScarlet Ochoa Azevedo CruzVanessa de Almeida Guerraapplication/pdfinfo:eu-repo/semantics/openAccessreponame:Repositório Institucional da UFMGinstname:Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais (UFMG)instacron:UFMGLICENSELicense.txtLicense.txttext/plain;
