Para o alcance do objetivo, foi realizado um estudo quantitativo e qualitativo, com a aplicação de questionários a 93 estudantes do mencionado curso, englobando a Escala de Atitudes Perante a Estatística (SATS), que apresenta quatro dimensões da atitude: afetividade, competência cognitiv a, dificuldade e valor. Os resultados da pesquisa foram analisados por meio de análise qualitativa, análise descritiva, teste de correlação e testes de diferença de médias: teste T de Student e teste F (Anova). Foi aplicado, primeiramente, o teste de Shapi ro - Francia, verificando a distribuição das variáveis, para então optar - se por testes paramétricos ou não paramétricos. Em um segundo momento, foi realizada a análise de correlação e verificado que todas as dimensões da atitude apresentam forte correlação e ntre si, ao nível de 95% de confiança. Dentre as características demográficas, observou - se, de forma geral, que o gênero foi a única característica pessoal dos alunos que influenciou a atitude em relação às disciplinas de Estatística, em que alunos do sexo masculino apresentaram maior atitude. As demais características analisadas não representaram fatores preponderantes nos estudantes em relação à atitude perante a EstatísticaThis study aimed to identify the factors that influence the academic attitude of undergraduate students in Accounting from the Federal University of Minas Gerais in relation to statistical disciplines. To achieve the objective of this rese arch was carried out a quantitative and qualitative study with questionnaires to 93 students in that course, encompassing the Attitude Scale Given the Statistics (SATS), which has four dimensions of attitude: affectivity, cognitive competence, difficulty a nd value. The survey results were analyzed using qualitative analysis, descriptive analysis, correlation test, and average tests: the Student T test and F test (ANOVA). It was first applied to the Shapiro - Francia test, checking the normal distribution of variables, to then opt for parametric and non-parametric tests. In a second step, the correlation analysis was performed and verified that all dimensions of attitude are strongly correlated, at 95% confidence. Among the demographic characteristics, it was o bserved, in general, that sex was the only trait of students influenced the attitude to statistics course, in which male students presented greater attitude.
