This work aims to establish the simulation basis on MCNP code for reproducing the x-ray generation from the electron beam to the photon beam used on radiotherapy by the LINAC VARIAN 600 C/D. The main goal is to approximate the simulated x-ray spectrum, the profile dose and the relative dose to experimental ones. The analyzes show the difficulties to simulate a linear acceleratorin relation to the relative percentage error between the simulation and experimental cases for the profile dose and the relative dose. These difficulties are due to the lack of information from the suppliers to the academic publicin a matter of material composition, dimensions, and energies. Therefore, some parts of the model should be inferred, such as the electron beam source and its angle. The results show the data of the experimental measures compared to the Monte Carlo results, where the measurements of PDD are inside the margin of error for buildup region and the flat region for the beam profile dose according to reference criteria. The developed model would help to optimize the simulation of patientdosimetry in radiotherapy treatment planning.No planejamento do tratamento radioterápico, as ferramentas que melhoram a precisão e a qualidade do tratamento radioterápico para o câncer são importantes para diminuir a morte de tecidos saudáveis ​​e a probabilidade de produzir células cancerígenas. Este trabalho visa estabelecer a base de simulação no código MCNP para reproduzir a geração de raios X do feixe de elétrons para o feixe de fótons utilizados em radioterapia pelo LINAC VARIAN 600 C/D. O objetivo principal é aproximar o espectro de raios X simulado, a dose perfilada e a dose relativa aos experimentais. As análises mostram as dificuldades para simular um acelerador linear em relação ao erro percentual relativo entre a simulação e os casos experimentais para a dose perfil e a dose relativa. Essas dificuldades se devem à falta de informação dos fornecedores ao público acadêmico em questão de composição, dimensões e energias dos materiais. Portanto, algumas partes do modelo devem ser inferidas, como a fonte do feixe de elétrons e seu ângulo. Os resultados mostram os dados das medidas experimentais comparadas com os resultados de Monte Carlo, onde as medidas de PDD estão dentro da margem de erro para região buildup e região plana para dose de perfil de viga segundo critérios de referência.
