Resumo: Due to the high number of individuals with schistosomiasis and its relevance as a public health problem observed during five years of nursing practice in the Family Health Program in the municipality of Setubinha - MG arose the interest of acting in the prevention , control and treatment of this pathology . Through preventive measures , control and treatment of schistosomiasis is possible to minimize the number of cases and avoid the evil consequences caused by this condition. The large number of households that do not have toilets , contaminated water , lack of sewage systems , low education and low income families in rural areas increases the rate of schistosomiasis . Based on these facts , this research aimed to develop an intervention project proposes actions that can minimize and / or eradicate schistosomiasis FHS Candeias , located in the municipality of Setubinha through preventive measures , control and treatment . For your reasoning , there was literature on the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics and the National Health Foundation , with the descriptors : schistosomiasis , prevention, control , treatment. After the study of the disease , it could be noted that in addition to prevention, control and treatment , it is necessary intervention by public agencies , which in turn must invest in basic sanitation and infrastructure supporting the populations subjected to exposure to the parasite cause the injury . With the partnership of public agencies , along with the Family Health Team is possible to achieve the desired goal, which is to reduce and / or eradicate schistosomiasis PSF Candeias.

With the partnership of public agencies , along with the Family Health Team is possible to achieve the desired goal, which is to reduce and / or eradicate schistosomiasis PSF Candeias.Devido ao elevado número de indivíduos portadores de esquistossomose e de sua relevância como problema de saúde pública observados no decorrer de cinco anos da prática da enfermagem no Programa de Saúde da Família, no município de Setubinha MG surgiu o interesse de atuar na prevenção, controle e tratamento dessa patologia. Através de medidas profiláticas, do controle e do tratamento da esquistossomose mansônica é possível minimizar o número de casos e evitar as maléficas consequências causadas por esse agravo. O grande número de domicílios que não possuem banheiros, as águas contaminadas, ausência de redes de esgoto, baixa escolaridade e baixa renda das famílias da zona rural faz aumentar o índice de esquistossomose. Baseando-se nesses fatos, este trabalho objetivou elaborar um projeto de intervenção propondo ações que possam minimizar e/ou erradicar a esquistossomose da ESF Candeias, localizado no município de Setubinha, através de medidas preventivas, controle e tratamento. Para sua fundamentação, fez-se pesquisa bibliográfica no no Instituto Brasileiro de Geografia e Estatística e na Fundação Nacional de Saúde, com os descritores: esquistossomose, prevenção, controle, tratamento. Após a realização do estudo sobre a doença, foi possível notar que além de prevenção, controle e tratamento, é necessário intervenção por parte dos órgãos públicos, que por sua vez devem investir em saneamento básico e infraestrutura apoiando as populações submetidas à exposição do parasita que causa o agravo.
