Resumo: Climate change is one of the great challenges experienced by cities around the world due to the uncertainty and speed of its occurrence and the impact it has on the urban fabric. For the cities in developing countries, such as Brazil, this challenge is amplified bearing in mind past issues related to their development pattern characterized by accelerated urbanization and marked socioeconomic inequalities. Based on the understanding of the importance of the concepts of governance and urban resilience in the face of climate change and the scarcity of research focused on the context of developing countries, this article aims at contributing to the discussions to establish a framework of urban climate governance for Brazilian cities through a bibliographical review to point out some key issues regarding the theme.
