O objetivo é investigar as consequências da Educação Musical tendo o piano como instrumento musicalizador no desenvolvimento musical e de interação social de crianças autistas de 3 a 5 anos. As crianças receberão aulas de piano individuais e semanais durante seis meses. Utilizaremos o método de pesquisa do tipo misto a partir da coleta de dados quantitativos: aplicação de escalas IMTAP (BAXTER et al., 2007), ABFW/Pragmática (FERNANDES et al., 2014) e Escala DEMUCA (FREIRE et al., 2019); e qualitativos - Grupo Focal com pais das crianças participantes. Os dados quantitativos serão tratados estatisticamente e cruzados com os dados obtidos no Grupo Focal. Espera-se identificar os possíveis benefícios que o piano, utilizado como instrumento musicalizador, poderá trazer para crianças autistas.In this study, we present the ongoing doctoral research developed at the UFMG School of Music, which deals with the binomial Piano Pedagogy and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The objective is to investigate the consequences of music education, having the piano as musicalization instrument, in the musical and in the social interaction development of autistic children from 3 to 5 years old. The children will receive individual e weekly piano lessons for six months. A mixed type research method will be used: the quantitative data - application of the scales IMTAP (BAXTER et al., 2007), ABFW/Pragmatics Test (FERNANDES et al., 2014) and DEMUCA Scale (FREIRE et al., 2019); and the qualitative data - Focus Group carried out with participating children’s parents. The quantitative treated statistically and will be crossed with the Focus Group data.
