Resumo: | This work intends to conduct a study on the Brazilian Protests of June 2013. Although the mentioned event was one of the most relevant incidents in recent Brazilian politics, it is surrounded by many doubts. For this reason an analysis on this object revealed to be very important. Considering that the so called crisis of representation was one of the most commonly mentioned causes to explain the phenomenon, the work was preceded by a brief study on political representation to support the protests analysis. Since the demonstrations occurred on the beginning of 2010s decade in many countries such as the United States of America, Spain and Egypt had similar characteristics to the Brazilian event studied, it was also conducted an investigation regarding them. Furthermore, this research has also contributed to comprehend the new types of contemporary social activism. Finally, after the presentation of the main characters, themes and events regarding the Protests of June, we concluded that there were in the literature three different types of interpretation concerning its political meanings, which are: the conservative, the reformist and the revolutionary. Each one of these meanings conceived different perspectives and projects for the crises of representations problems. The first one intended to reinforce the hierarchical aspects of representation, in order to intensify Brazilian secular societys issues. The second one understood the protests as a possibility to repair the current institutions of the participative democracy. For its turn, the third one pointed to the construction of extremely different political alternatives from the usual parameters in accordance to a perspective of radical democracy. |
