Este último por sua fez tem fundamental importância na valorização do bem estar e na integração social de pessoas que sofreram amputação ou que possuem má formação congênita. O presente artigo utilizou a impressora 3D Zprinter 650 e focou em testar como dois materiais infiltrantes, já utilizados para reforço da resistência mecânica de peças produzidas por manufatura aditiva, de acordo com a literatura, interagem com o SILASTIC® MDX4-4210. Os moldes devem manter suas dimensões, adquirir um melhor acabamento superficial e um incremento a resistência mecânica e ao mesmo tempo permitindo a polimerização do elastômero. O processo de produção de prótese maxilofacial pode ser realizado com o auxilio de mecanismos de digitalização, modelagem 3D do molde para a produção da prótese. Uma vez definido e projetado em um arquivo 3D o molde é impresso em manufatura aditiva na impressora e no pós-processamento aplica-se o material infiltrante.The additive manufacture can be integrated with bioengineering to help from the production of biomodels to the printing of prostheses and implants.
