THE PROFILE OF SCIENTIFIC PRODUCTION ON VOLLEYBALL IN LATIN AMERICA AND CARIBBEAN NEWSPAPERS

Resumo: | The present study aims to map the production of knowledge about Volleyball published in Latin American and Caribbean periodicals. For this, we started with a descriptive exploratory study, from the following databases: Scielo and Redalyc. We found 94 articles, published in 25 different journals, between the years 2010 to 2016. The theme with the highest production was Training, totaling 51.05%. However, despite the predominance of this axis, there was a notorious epistemological plurality in the making of science, presenting different themes. Therefore, it is concluded that the production of knowledge about Volleyball in this scenario requires new studies that address new themes, whether in quantitative and /or qualitative perspectives. |

Para ello, se partió de un estudio exploratorio descriptivo, a partir de las siguientes bases de datos: Scielo y Redalyc. Se encontraron 94 artículos, publicados en 25 periódicos diferentes, entre los años de 2010 a 2016. La temática con mayor producción fue el Entrenamiento, totalizando el 51,05%. Sin embargo, a pesar del predominio de dicho eje, se encontró una notoria pluralidad epistemológica en el hacer ciencia, presentando otras diversas temáticas. Por lo tanto, se concluye que la producción del conocimiento sobre Voleibol en ese escenario necesita nuevos estudios que aborden nuevas temáticas, sean en perspectivas cuantitativas y/o cualitativas.O presente estudo tem por objetivo mapear a produção do conhecimento sobre Voleibol publicada em periódicos da América Latina e Caribe. Para isso, partiu-se de um estudo exploratório descritivo, a partir das seguintes bases de dados: Scielo e Redalyc. Foram encontrados 94 artigos, publicados em 25 periódicos diferentes, entre os anos de 2010 a 2016. A temática com maior produção foi o Treinamento, totalizando 51,05%. Entretanto, apesar do predomínio do referido eixo, encontrou-se uma notória pluralidade epistemológica no fazer ciência, apresentando outras diversas temáticas.
