Resumo: This article analyzes the construction of the travesti body in the novel A inevitável história de Letícia Diniz (2006), by the Rio de Janeiro writer Marcelo Pedreira. Through concepts from queer approaches and contemporary literary theories, it focuses on how the novel articulates narration as a constitutive aspect of travesti identity, and also highlights problems (historical, social and cultural) around the cis-heteronormative look at travesti corporealities in Brazilian literature.
