In this sense, and considering that in August 1942 Brazil declared war on the Axis countries, this article addresses, analyzes and discusses the adoption, implementation and enforcement of the measures take n by Getulio Vargas’ government to reach financial resources, materials supply, productive reorganization and training of civil passive defense, previous elements to the sending of Brazilian Expeditionary Force (BEF) to the battlefield, to this thorny adve nture that was the country's participation in World War II.
