Resumo: The objective of this article is to analyze the role that the newspaper Lampião da Esquina (1978-1981) occupied and still occupies with regard to the LGBTQIA+ movement and the fight against LGBTphobia in Brazil. For this, some reports from Lampião were analyzed, as well as the documentary released in 2016 about its trajectory. The idea is to understand how the periodical was important for its period and how film production becomes an important tool for making discussions about non-hegemonic sexualities visible.

Para isso, analisou-se algumas reportagens do Lampião, bem como, o documentário lançado em 2016 sobre sua trajetória.
