Cooking oil is one of the most consumed industrialized products in the soy production chain, whether in homes, commercial establishments, among others, generating a large volume of sales in the domestic market. In conjunction with this high consumption, a situation also arises that involves the whole of society: the disposal of cooking oil waste after its use. In this context, this work addresses the theme of “The reverse logistics of cooking oil in the municipality of Aquidauana-MS”, with the main objective of analyzing how cooking oil is disposed of in the city. To carry out the work, the descriptive research methodology was adopted using a mixed approach (qualitative and quantitative), where the bibliographic materials collected are from the period 2007 and 2022, and the quantitative research was carried out through a questionnaire carried out in the Google Forms, being distributed through social media. At the end of the work, it can be concluded that citizens know, even superficially, the impacts that the incorrect disposal of cooking oil can have on the environment, however, they also highlight the lack of projects that meet this demand.
