This research aimed to collect data on the socioeconomic profile and the destination of solid waste at Aldeia Córrego Seco in Aquidauana/MS. Being part of the lands of Aldeia Limão Verde that gets approximately 4,086 hectares and an estimated population of over 1,190 indigenous. This research makes it possible to understand and understand the relationship and its due importance to the local community. With this, the article has a fundamental role in this process and aims through the bibliographic research and field activity with the application of questionnaires to the 28 families who corresponds to 71.79% of the total of 39 families in the community. So the results were: According to table 1 the families interviewed regarding the participation of 51 males and 43 females female, the age that stood out was the age of 41-60 years and the average general income of respondents was of BRL: 1,200.00. While table 2 showed results on waste disposal: 13 out of 28 families declared that they burn their garbage, while 15 families answered that they bury their garbage and 23 separate the waste generated. In Table 3, the data show that 25 of the interviewees reported that the school, teachers work on the subject of garbage in the classroom, highlighting the importance of competent bodies, among them the municipal and federal, thus strengthening awareness for the community. Finally, the work has a relevant importance and proposes actions and measures fundamental educational activities for sustainable actions and waste management. Thus, it enabled understanding of the theme presented, but always respecting their local, cultural values and their indigenous community
