Resumo: The study highlights the growing importance of bioinputs as fundamental elements for the advancement of sustainable agricultural practices, meeting the increasingly significant consumer demand for ecologically conscious food production methods. Bioinputs, in this context, represent a promising alternative to traditional inputs, since they are derived from biological sources, such as Ascophyllum nodosum algae extract. The objective of the work was to evaluate the physiology of soybean seeds treated with A. nodosum extract. The research was conducted at the Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul, Campus Chapadão do Sul, using a completely randomized design with five different doses of algae extract (0.5; 1.0; 2.0; 20.0; 40. 0 mL L-1) and the control (control). Germination in the first count, total germination, emergence in sand, emergence speed index, length of the shoot and root, dry mass of the shoot, root and total were evaluated. The use of algae extract was favorable for the variable’s emergence speed index, shoot length and root length at doses of 1.0- and 2.0-mL ha-1. The dose of 40 mL was more suitable for root and total dry mass, while the dry mass of the shoot benefited from doses of 2-, 20- and 40-mL L-1 of algae extract.
