When reporting my experience, as a resident of Furna dos Baianos, I felt that I could contribute, encouraging some people to also report their experiences, I observed and participated in the pedagogical practice in quilombola education: the use of ancestral play. The objective of this research, in addition to collecting family data, rescuing our memories, so that other family members know about the difficult beginnings in the region, was to investigate how pedagogical practice was organized in our school, without materials, without structure, but with a focus on ancestral play. We seek to understand the history of quilombos and describe the main characteristics of quilombola education. Equality and difference dialogued in the local cultural construction, ties of belonging to the community of this study allowed me to understand the diversity of my relatives and the pedagogical practice used by the teachers, they worked in quilombola education, I was able to observe that the approximation of the community's culture with the elements teaching materials was relevant to local students.
