Resumo: This research aimed to analyze the difficulties faced by women when balancing motherhood with the workplace. The descriptive qualitative method was employed, and data were collected through a questionnaire given to a selected group of 10 mothers for this study. According to the results, there is a noticeable progress in women's achievements over the years, raising awareness in society regarding the intersection of women with motherhood and the workforce. Despite advancements, prejudices persist in the professional environment concerning the challenges women encounter in reconciling childcare and their careers. Therefore, studies examining the struggles mothers face in balancing motherhood and the workplace are crucial for increasing awareness and progress in this essential societal issue.

Therefore, studies examining the struggles mothers face in balancing motherhood and the workplace are crucial for increasing awareness and progress in this essential societal issue.A presente pesquisa objetivou analisar as dificuldades enfrentadas pelas mulheres ao ter que conciliar a maternidade com o mercado de trabalho. Sendo assim, a metodologia utilizada para alcançar os resultados desta pesquisa foi o método qualitativo descritivo, no qual os dados coletados foram através de um questionário aplicado para um grupo de 10 mulheres-mães selecionadas para este estudo. De acordo com os resultados obtidos, pode ser identificado a conquista que as mulheres vêm obtendo ao longo dos anos e com isso adquirindo a conscientização da sociedade ao abordar a relação da mulher com a maternidade e o mercado de trabalho. Também foi possível identificar, que mesmo com os avanços que ocorreram nos últimos anos ainda existem preconceitos no ambiente profissional em relação aos empecilhos que a mulher enfrenta em ter que conciliar o cuidado com os filhos e a carreira profissional.
