Tradução da Lição Inaugural de Martial Gueroult no Collège de France

This work consists of two parts: the first one presents an introductory essay, thematizing the inaugural lecture of Martial Gueroult on the Collège de France, while the second one presents the unprecedented translation of the mentioned work. The essay intends to agregate to the translation some interpretation keys, and the analysis of concepts that were crucial to our interpretation of the inaugural lecture, impacting directly on the subjective process of conceptual decision making, which is critical to the effort of translating a philosophical thought. The translation was elaborated observing the methodological rigour of the peer review process, as rigorous as the other processes described on the introduction of this work. Our work aimed to offer, as often as possible, the most simple, clear, and faithful translation of the ideas from the historien-philosophe Martial Gueroult. In conclusion, we believe that this translation could spread, in a concise and objective way, some of the ideas which are central to his philosophy – which are in the basis of what would come to be his philosophical proposal of a dianoematics – and to offer as well new subjects of discussion about methodological thinking in the field of Brazilian philosophical historiography.
