UM OLHAR ECOCRÍTICO PARA A EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL: A CONTRIBUIÇÃO DA POÉTICA DE MANOEL DE BARROS

Resumo: | In this research we try to investigate the human-nature relationship in literacy based upon the dialog between literature and environmental education, being a rich space for a critical, human and individual awareness formation in socio-environmental field. This proposal came from the need of studies concerning environmental problems reflection, in order to provide solutions that may reduce the odds addressed to socio-environmental issues. So that this work is based upon critical framework of environmental education, as well as ecocriticism studies, that deliver critical and problem solving widening, concerning the relation between literature and nature in literacy context. In this way, theoretical and methodological approaches in the present work allow a different view to environmental issue. This thesis is organized in two chapters and final considerations, as well as the introduction. In the first chapter, starting efforts focus on building a theoretical path on environmental education, where we perform a retrospective view about aspects that we have been considered important for its context in Brazil and around the world. We also discuss briefly about the conferences and academic presentations that stood out to propagate and spread its principles. Moreover, we brought the understanding issue, as well as the need for an open environmental education addressed to other sensitivities, other feelings in a relation connected with the environment, for the development of an ecological consciousness that comes from environmental sensibility.We also presents theoretical approach of literacy manifestation of ecocriticism. The second chapter discusses reading and analysis of Manoel de Barros Poetry that encompasses nature theme, including considerations about human-nature relationship, enhancing the way his poetry reaffirms the importance of “useless beings” and their communion with natural world, such as a suitable place to foster sensibility and environmental consciousness. Thus, this is a bibliographical research that was conducted by qualitative methodology. The research corpus is composed by a group of literature texts provided from Manoel de Barros work. The material was sorted by considering environmental theme in his literary work, so that we report the use of “Poesia Completa” and “Memórias inventadas” in this study. The following results were found after investigations: Manoel de Barros poetry allows communion with natural world, providing another way to understand the world, based on the redefinition of feelings in relation to the planet, being committed to alterity. It is connected to environmental education framework, once his work is powerful, as a sensitization tool, by creating new feelings of rapprochement between human and nature, starting with an ethical relationship, with care, showing other manners of being and existing with nature. By comparing himself to trees, birds, “negligible” beings, he legitimizes the creation of an inventive language where nature communicates, with life, voice and expressiveness, and allows us to rethink and stablish a closer and non-hierarchical connection with natural world, in order to ignore the limits between them, where being tree, or being in a state of; is having a nature bathe from delicacy and merger between different beings. Keywords: Environmental Education; Manoel de Barros; Ecocriticism; Human; Nature.Nesta pesquisa, buscamos investigar a relação humano-natureza nos textos literários, baseando-se no diálogo entre a literatura e a educação ambiental como espaço fecundo para uma formação crítica, humana e de sensibilização de indivíduos acerca da problemática socioambiental. Ela surge da necessidade de promover estudos que tenham a intenção de refletir sobre os problemas ambientais, a fim de que sejam suscitadas possíveis soluções para minimizar as adversidades enfrentadas no tocante à questão socioambiental. Para tanto, encontra-se ancorada na perspectiva crítica da educação ambiental e nos estudos ecocríticos, que têm aprofundamento crítico e problematizador acerca da relação entre literatura e natureza no contexto literário. Dessa forma, as perspectivas teórico-metodológicas alçadas desta pesquisa permitem olhar de forma diferenciada para a questão da problemática ambiental. A tese está organizada em dois capítulos e considerações finais, além da introdução. No primeiro capítulo, o esforço inicial dirige-se à construção de um percurso teórico da educação ambiental, no qual fazemos um retrospecto de aspectos considerados importantes para a sua contextualização no mundo e no Brasil, bem como discorremos brevemente sobre conferências e seminários que se destacaram ao difundir e expandir seus preceitos. Além disso, trouxemos a questão da compreensão e da necessidade de uma educação ambiental aberta a sensibilidades outras, outros sentidos, dentro da relação com o meio ambiente, com vistas ao desenvolvimento de uma consciência ecológica baseada na sensibilidade ambiental. Apresentamos, ainda, os pressupostos teóricos da corrente literária Ecocrítica. Já no segundo capítulo, abordamos a leitura e análise da poética de Manoel de Barros que contempla a temática da natureza, além das considerações sobre a relação humano-natureza, ressaltando a maneira como sua poesia reafirma a importância dos “seres inúteis” e sua comunhão com o mundo natural, como espaço propício para fomentar a sensibilidade e a conscientização em face da questão ambiental. Diante do exposto, trata-se de uma pesquisa de caráter bibliográfico, cujo modo de investigação se deu de maneira qualitativa. Seu corpus é formado por um conjunto de textos literários selecionados da obra de Manoel de Barros. A escolha teve como base a presença da temática ambiental nos escritos do poeta e, nesse sentido, neste estudo utilizamos os títulos “Poesia Completa” e “Memórias Inventadas”. Após a investigação, foram levantados os seguintes resultados: a poesia de Manoel de Barros possibilita a comunhão com o mundo natural, oferecendo uma outra forma de compreensão do mundo, baseada na ressignificação dos sentidos em relação ao planeta e dedicada a um pleno exercício de alteridade com os outros; e dialoga com os pressupostos da educação ambiental na medida em que potencializa, como instrumento de sensibilização, a elaboração de novos sentidos de reaproximação entre o humano e a natureza. Mediante uma relação ética, de cuidado, mostrando outras formas de ser e existir com a natureza, e ao comparar-se às árvores, aos pássaros, aos seres “ínfimos”, legitima a criação de uma linguagem inventiva, na qual a natureza se comunica, tem vida, voz e expressividade, permitindo-nos repensar e estabelecer uma relação mais próxima e não hierarquizada com o mundo natural, de forma a não saber os limites entre um e outro, onde ser árvore ou estar em estado de; é banhar-se de natureza a partir da sutileza e da fusão entre os diferentes seres.
