Brincar para crescer: como as famílias utilizam e percebem os parquinhos públicos

Resumo: This work focuses on the study of families and play, especially in spaces such as public parks. In this qualitative and exploratory research, the main objective is to analyze to what extent the presence of playgrounds in public spaces enhances the capacity for exploration, interaction, and child development. This research was conducted in two parks in the city of Três Lagoas – MS, one located near the city center and the other away from the central region. A questionnaire was organized, with 20 voluntary participants including parents, grandparents, caregivers, and siblings. The data collection analysis was organized into five axes: use of playgrounds; families' relationship with play; adult reaction to play; organization and experience of play; and potentialities of play in the playground, leading to some inferences. The results indicate that the presence of playgrounds in public spaces encourages families to dedicate time to child development, stimulating exploration, promoting social interaction, and boosting cognitive development. In addition to providing outdoor experiences, these places offer a safe and challenging environment for children to develop physical and cognitive skills. The social interaction facilitated in playgrounds contributes to the learning of social skills such as communication, sharing, conflict resolution, and empathy during recreational activities. These spaces are essential not only for fun but also as environments conducive to the growth and well-being of children.

Nesta investigação de natureza qualitativa e caráter exploratório, o objetivo principal é analisar em que medida a presença de parquinhos em espaços públicos potencializam a capacidade de exploração, interação e desenvolvimento infantil. Essa pesquisa foi desenvolvida em dois parques na cidade de Três Lagoas – MS sendo eles localizados um em área próxima ao centro e outro afastado da região central. Organizou-se um questionário, que contou com 20 participantes voluntários dentre eles pais, mães, avós, cuidadores e irmãos. A análise da coleta de dados, foi organizada em cinco eixos: utilização dos parquinhos; relação das famílias com o brincar; reação do adulto frente à brincadeira; organização e vivência das brincadeiras; potencialidades da brincadeira no parquinho, permitiram chegar à algumas inferências. Os resultados indicam que a presença dos parquinhos em espaços públicos favorece o tempo destinado pelas famílias ao desenvolvimento infantil, estimulando a exploração, promovendo a interação social e impulsionando o desenvolvimento cognitivo. Além de oferecerem experiências ao ar livre, esses locais proporcionam um ambiente seguro e desafiador para que as crianças desenvolvam habilidades físicas e cognitivas. A interação social facilitada nos parquinhos contribui para o aprendizado de habilidades sociais, como comunicação, compartilhamento, resolução de conflitos e empatia, durante as atividades recreativas.
