Resumo: | The faveiro (Dimorphandra mollis) is a species with great economic potential, which can contribute to the sustainable development of traditional Brazilian communities and to the conservation of biodiversity in the cerrado, however, the production of seedlings on a commercial scale of the species is compromised due to the low physiological conditioning of its seeds. Thus, the objective of the work was to evaluate the physiological characteristics of D. mollis seeds, subjected to the application of humic substances. The experimental design was completely randomized, with six treatments and four replications. The treatments consisted of applications of solutions containing doses of 0, 4, 8, 12, 16 and 20 mL of the biostimulant containing humic substance per L-1 of water. The variables analyzed were: Length and dry mass of the shoot and root, percentage of germination on germitest paper and in gerbox-type germination boxes, in addition to calculating the germination speed index (IVG). The dose of 11.8 mL L-1 of the biostimulant provided the greatest gain in the germination of faveiro seeds, after 21 days of germination on germitest paper, other parameters were also positively affected by the action of the product, despite the low natural performance of the seeds, under the present study conditions. The results allow us to conclude that the product based on humic substances is effective in promoting the germination and growth of faveiro seedlings. The best dose range of humic substance was between 9.1 and 11.8 mL L-1, with an average of 10.5 mL L-1, for all variables, with the exception of the dry mass of the aerial part. |
