Resumo: This article presents the results of research conducted during the COVID-19 pandemic, focusing on children who did not participate in in-person Early Childhood Education practices. Considering this stage crucial for human development, the study delves into the experiences of children aged 4 to 6 years during the quarantine period. The article describes the social impact of the pandemic on this age group, emphasizing the identification of emergency educational resources and the significance of playfulness in distance learning. Additionally, the article explores teaching conditions during this challenging period, considering that despite the occurrence of major adversity being sudden and uncontrollable, government entities should present a more sensitive approach to education and teacher preparation.

Com isso, apresento uma descrição do período da pandemia do COVID-19 e seu impacto social com ênfase nas crianças de 4 a 6 anos durante o período de quarentena, identificando os recursos educativos emergenciais e a importância do lúdico durante esse processo de aprendizagem a distância.
