Quando as Marias falam: influência das assessorias de imprensa na temática da violência contra mulheres

Resumo: The aim of this research, initiated in 2019, was to analyze the influence of the press offices of agencies aimed at disseminating public policies to women, especially regarding the confrontation of gender violence, in the newspapers Campo Grande News and Correio do Estado in Campo Grande-MS. We adopted the quantitative-qualitative perspective, and to develop this study, clipping and image auditing were incorporated into the methodological procedures, clipping and image auditing, instrument of the press office. It was this instrument that made it possible to build the corpus of this study – formed by disclosures developed by the press office between March and November 2019 generating quantitative data and consequently, enabling the development of a qualitative analysis. The analysis was completed with in-depth interviews, which broadened the understanding. The epistemic basis contemplates between feminist studies, gender theories for an understanding of the devices for coping with gender and gender violence. And, in the field of communication, concepts of organizational communication were used to situate the context, tools and dilemmas of the press office. As a result of this, we noticed that about 14% of the releases produced by the 3 press relations: Undersecretary of Policies for Women (Campo Grande-MS), State Undersecretary of Public Policies for Women, Women's Coordination of Court of Justice of Mato Grosso do Sul were partially used as a suggestion of agenda by local newspapers. This result is equivalent to 10% of the journalistic articles published about women and gender violence during 2019. Considering the expansion of the use of digital technologies, the press relations, which were treated in this study as "Marias”, are adopting strategies to insert the theme of violence against women in the media, either through online press rooms, to promote their releases, or with other communication channels, such as instant messaging applications including WhatsApp. The research was concluded in a propositioned manner, with ten suggestions to improve the actions of the press relations. Public policy for women.O objetivo da presente pesquisa, iniciada em 2019, foi analisar a influência das assessorias de imprensa de órgãos voltados a divulgar políticas públicas para a mulher, especialmente no que diz respeito ao enfrentamento da violência de gênero, nos jornais: Campo Grande News e Correio do Estado em Campo Grande-MS. Adotamos a perspectiva quanti-qualitativa, e para desenvolver este estudo, incorporou-se nos procedimentos metodológicos o clipping e auditoria de imagem, instrumento da assessoria de imprensa. Foi este instrumento que possibilitou construir o corpus deste estudo — formado por divulgações desenvolvidas pelas assessorias de imprensa entre março e novembro de 2019 gerando dados quantitativos e consequentemente, possibilitando desenvolver uma análise qualitativa. A análise completou-se com as entrevistas em profundidade, que ampliaram o entendimento. A base epistêmica caminha entre estudos feministas, teorias de gênero, para o entendimento dos dispositivos para enfrentamento da violência de gênero e, no campo da comunicação, utilizou-se conceitos da comunicação organizacional para situar o contexto, as ferramentas e os dilemas da assessoria de imprensa. Como resultado desta, percebemos que cerca de 14% dos releases produzidos pelas três assessorias de imprensa da Subsecretaria de Políticas para a Mulher (Campo Grande-MS), Subsecretaria Estadual de Políticas Públicas para a Mulher, Coordenadoria da Mulher foram aproveitados parcialmente como sugestão de pauta pelos jornais locais. Este resultado equivale a 10% das matérias jornalísticas publicadas sobre o tema da mulher durante o ano de 2019. Considerando a ampliação do uso das tecnologias digitais, as assessorias de imprensa, que foram tratadas neste estudo como “Marias”, estão adotando estratégias para inserir o tema violência contra a mulher nas mídias, seja por meio das salas de imprensa on-line, para divulgar seus releases, seja com outros canais de comunicação, como os aplicativos de mensagens instantâneas entre eles o WhatsApp. Finalizamos o trabalho de maneira propositiva, com dez sugestões para aprimorar as ações das assessorias de imprensa.
