The aim of this article is to analyze the work of the Juizado Especial Federal Itinerante (JEFIT) as a judicial public policy to promote access to free justice for the ribeirinhos communities of the southern pantanal region of Mato Grosso, considering the special social security system that guarantees specific rights to this group. The Southern Pantanal region is affected by socio-economic challenges which often make it difficult for the ribeirinhos peoples to access the social security benefits to which they are entitled as special insured persons. In the course of the article, issues were identified that directly affect the lives of these special insured people, including geographical isolation and lack of access to information about social security rights. In this context, the internalization of the JEFITs has proved to be a satisfactory strategy for bringing justice closer to these communities, together with partner institutions such as the INSS and the DPU, through joint efforts, seeking conflict resolution, providing personalized services faster,, promoting access to social security benefits, highlighting the importance of using technology to eliminate the overcrowding of procedural demands of a social security nature in rural areas. To summarize, bibliographical and documentary research was used in order to explore the relevance of social security benefits in the lives of the ribeirinhos from the southern pantanal of Mato Grosso and the work of the Itinerant JEF, taking into account the particularities of this community, seeking to reduce inequality and access to justice such as social security and/or welfare benefits
