The objective of this work was to evaluate Family Health Equipment (FHT) in a medium-sized municipality in the State of Mato Grosso, regarding the performance of the attributes used by Primary Health Care (PHC) from the perspective of service users. It dealt with an evaluative research with a quantitative approach and cross-sectional design carried out in 35 Family Health Units (USF), in the urban region of the municipality, with more than two years of uninterrupted operation. To assess the EqSF, 397 adult users were interviewed who collected data collected through the application of a sociodemographic questionnaire and the Primary Care Assessment Tool (PCATool). The results revealed that the users were mostly female and had low education. Regarding the assessment of services, there was an unsatisfactory performance for the attributes Family Orientation (5.3) and Community Orientation (6.2). The low scores for both attributes show fragility in the user's participation in decisions related to the sender assistance, remnants of the medical-hegemonic model, prohibited by the hierarchically superior position and privileged by the professional. Furthermore, the FHT incipience in the inclusion of the family and the community in the planning of its actions, reveals the need to forfity its mechanisms to foster social participation.
