The overall objective of this article is to describe the importance of the Comptroller, while managerial tool in decision-making. Have the ability to measure, support, with timely and accurate information to support planning and control process within the organizations, has been a constant challenge. That's because, increasingly competitive, the market does not expect the Manager to adapt to it, and the stiff competition makes the Manager look for ways to stand out more and more on the market. So the role of the Comptroller has been increasingly important and fundamental in guiding decision making. Companies can rely on the information so accurate and assertive decisions, is what makes it attractive in the eyes of the Comptroller organization. Provide professionals, manage the process, collect data, manage the process are some of the duties of the Comptroller. To develop the article, the methodology used was bibliographical research, doing survey on physical media, electronic books, theses, dissertations and scientific articles.
