The monitoring of the water quality for bathing purposes of the Cuiabá river in Vereda beach is of fundamental importance. The recreational use of these waters must be in proper conditions to use, in this way we will avoid the risk of contamination of these bathers. Numerous factors may interfere with water quality, since the assessment of bathing requires criteria, based on microbiological indexes that determine the indicators to be monitored, in accordance with Conama Resolution 274/00. The study was carried out during the dry season due to the formation of beaches. The present work has the purpose of evaluating the balneabilidad of the water of the Cuiabá river in the Beach of the Vereda, municipality of Santo Antônio do Leverger in the period of 2008 to 2016. The data used were made available by SEMA MT through monitoring reports between the years of 2010 And 2016. The collections and analyzes were performed according to CETESB and Standard Methods, updated versions, and the results compared to Conama Resolution 274/00. The water quality of the Cuiabá River at Vereda Beach was rated Very Good in the years 2011 and 2015, Satisfactory in 2008, 2009, 2012, 2014 and 2016 and Improper in 2010.
