Civil construction is seen as having low productivity indices when compared to other sectors of the country's economy. This is mainly due to the difficulty encountered in the sector in efficiently designing the layouts of its construction sites, whose location is responsible for supporting most of the actions inherent to the construction process. Aiming at attenuating this panorama, a greater recurrence of studies has been observed regarding the implementation of lean production on construction sites, entitled Lean Construction philosophy. The present work, sought through the case study, to ascertain the effectiveness of this new construction philosophy when designing the provisional installations of a horizontal construction site for the execution and support of works for the serial construction of 120 popular houses, in terms of productivity gain and reduction of losses. Through an analysis of the application of the principles imposed by it, its effectiveness can be verified by realizing even theoretically that it was possible to reduce waste, mainly due to the shortening of movement distances associated with materials and labor, allowing elimination of activities that do not add value through the concentration of the parts that make up the provisional facilities.
