This present study aims to report the main activities developed during the curricular intership period, held at the Veterinary Hospital of the University Federal de Mato Grosso, Campus de Sinop in the period between 2016, 2th may and 2016, 5th august, in the area of Small Animal Clínical Medicine. This period it was important to practice the knowledge acquired during graduation, and add knowledge through monitoring of clínical cases. We also describe a case report about cutaneous infection by Dermatophilus sp. in a feline patient. During this period, as well as a literature review. It was possible to note that this is a rare skin lesion in companion animals, however is generally noted in cattle, horses, goats, sheep, poultry and pigs and it could be observed that the treatment is simple and effective, therefore it is important to make the diagnosis correctly in pets to institute the appropriate treatment and allow the patient's recovery.
