O VLT no contexto da política de mobilidade urbana do aglomerado urbano Cuiabá-Várzea Grande

For decades the movement of people and goods is causing problems of all kinds, from kilometric congestion, high levels of pollution caused by the emission of gases mainly from individual vehicles, as well as other important adversities. It is known, however, that the model of ideal urban planning management requires taking into account the hierarchy of modes, favoring the collective and non-motorized modes of travel, an almost opposite of what is being done in Cuiabá/Várzea Grande. With a current major concern, public authorities created the regulatory tools and planning of urban mobility. Based on these tools, such as the Law on Urban Mobility and Urban Mobility Plan of the Metropolitan Area of the Valley of Rio Cuiabá, together with an analysis prepared technical documents such as designs of the System of VLT, modal average capacity being deployed in the metropolitan area, we found the degree of priority that the system has/will have over other forms of transport.
